We are pleased to announce that CCCX MTB and NorCal Crusher Cup races will be sanctioned by USA Cycling in 2025.
As the governing body of cycling in America, USAC works hard to develop the sport from juniors to Olympians. This partnership will strengthen Northern California cycling and create a more direct pathway from our region to national events. These USAC races provide an opportunity to earn national ranking points and qualify for national championship races, which is especially important for our juniors.
This move will also align our races with the Northern California Nevada Cycling Association. The NCNCA has long been active in promoting road racing in our region; now they will work with us to include XC racing and sanction a 2025 District Championship XC race.
The insurance coverage provided by USAC is a significant benefit to all licensed racers. Not only does it bolster our event coverage, it also provides each racer with personal supplemental insurance while racing.
Athletes will be required to provide a valid USAC license number.
About 30% of our participants already carry an annual license. We were able to get a deep discount for first-time annual licenses.
USAC Pricing (subject to change):
Basic Annual Renewal - $129
First-time annual license - $50 (use Code INTROMEMB25)
U18 license - $40
Day license: Adult - Novice $15 / U18 $15 / Adult $35

If you are younger than 45 and haven't seen Klunkers, you may not be in the loop on the significance of the legendary Repack downhill races in Fairfax, California, in the late 70's.
Fairfax is considered the birthplace of mountain biking (although Bounder, CO has a legitimate claim as well).
Repack was where it all started. Lovingly named for the need to repack bearings after each run on cruiser bikes with coaster brakes.
It gave rise to MTB legends Otis Guy, Gary Fisher, Steve Ritchey and Charlie Kelly, among others.
Watch the movie Klunkers or pick-up copy of Charie Kelly's book Fat Tire Flyers to learn more about this piece of MTB history.
Remarkably, the name was not trademarked - hence Repack Racing!
Repack Racing is dedicated to promoting and organizing MTB and Cyclocross racing in the Bay Area.
Our Vision is to become the leading producer of top-tier racing for beginner to pro-level athletes.
Our Mission is to open MTB racing to as many people as possible through a focus on creating all-inclusive events that are appealing to all levels of riders.
Repack Racing is a long-time, strong supporter of the #moregirlsonbikes campaign and strives encourage more girls and women to participate.
Marin County has many potential world-class racing venues. Presently, the only active racing venues are McInnes Park and Stafford Lake.
Repack Racing is working to secure additional Marin County venues. We are working with Trust for Public Land on events in San Geronimo, local landowners and other potential venue ideas.
Repack Racing would also like to see events at China Camp, which is a State Park, and Tamarancho. We have reached out with an inquiries and hope that community support will help turn the tide.
